Introducing Franz Sonnerer and Silver Spoon Catering

Silver Spoon is a Catering company with a difference. Franz Sonnerer, our Head Chef and Owner all the way from Austria, has been acknowledged with three gold medals and two silver medals when previously competed in international food competitions. Franz has 29 years of excellent expertise and is very excited to join new alliances, after successfully completing his commitment with the Hilton Hotel in Hong Kong, where he controlled the Fine Dining Restaurant and the Asian-French Bistro within the hotel. He joined La Rose Noire Restaurant Chain Group as Executive Chef and thereafter the Lord Charles Hotel. From here he joined forces and became self employed starting a partnership catering company “Le Eat Catering”, until September 2009 where after he went on his own and created Silver Spoon Catering.

Silver Spoon has a passion for food so where there are people to please, we would be more than happy to serve all types of occasions and any amount of people. We take into consideration the preparation for serving lager amounts of people but it is a challenge that our team is experienced to succeed in.

We offer a delivery and collection service and the hiring of extra cutlery, crockery and equipment to meet the occasion and the client’s needs.

Our 9 page Catering Menu has a fun variety of choices. We also do not hesitate to accommodate budgets and any other requirements regarding the style of food, cost and presentation involved.

Our quality of food lies in the hands of a proud Chef, and this is a good enough reason to understand the quality of products we believe in to produce high standard goods.

NatureXan Gold

NatureXan Gold is processed from the pure mangosteen fruit.  This remarkable product contains xanthone antioxidants that are known to have powerful anti-viral, anti-mircrobial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. This is one of the few antioxidant products on the market created with 100% organic ingredients and without chemical solvent extraction.  Pesticide free, NO Preservatives, NO Food additives and NO Artificial flavourings or Sweeteners added.

Xanthones in Mangosteen are one of the most effective anti-oxidants found in nature. Academic research worldwide indicates that Xanthones in Mangosteen have the most strength of anti-oxidants, 20-30 times better than any other fruit or vegetable. Phytonutrients which have a high Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC), can reduce all damages from free radicals which are the causes of cancer, heart diseases and ageing.

Anti-Microbial Properties
Xanthones in Mangosteen have anti-bacterial properties for both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Furthermore, they have rich properties in inhibiting the increasing of outer cell viruses which cannot be affected even by antibiotics.

Relieve Allergy Properties
Based on Academic Research, Xanthones are capable of inhibiting histamine pathways which are the cause of human allergies and could encourage the respiratory system to perform more effectively (Asthma, Eczema).

Reduce Oxidized LDL Cholesterol
Xanthones can help the human body to decrease the absorption of cholesterol, thus preventing cardiovascular diseases and certain heart illnesses.

Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Xanthones can also help relieve Rheumatism found mostly in the elderly. Xanthones inhibit the Cyclo-Oxygenase 1 (Cox-1) and Cyclo-Oxygenase 2 (Cox-2) enzymes activities, which are the primary cause of human inflammatory pathways. Xanthones also help increase human joint elasticity (Arthritis).

The Body Talk Corner: WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF OUR EMOTIONS?

Jean Degenaar  (Certified BodyTalk Practitioner)
What is the purpose of our emotions?
Our emotions are meant to be felt, expressed, and released. They are information about our environment, our experience and ourselves. Healthy emotions have health benefits. For example without grief, we linger in the sadness of loss. Grieving is the process of letting go of what is past so that we can make room in our hearts and minds for new life and new experiences. Physical and mental symptoms arise when we are not expressing our emotions optimally. In our need to be accepted and feel safe, we repress our emotions which distorts them and they then become reactionary emotions. At some point these unresolved and repressed emotional issues will be triggered by an experience in life and we will over-react to the new experience because of the filter of our past pain that we are unconsciously looking through. Since this is typically an unconscious process and because of that we don’t understand our over-reaction and its connections to the past, we focus on blaming the current person or experience. This means our wound is unacknowledged and goes unhealed; only to be detonated again at a later time. These stored emotions deplete the organs, endocrines, and body-parts associated with it, leading to disfunction or disease.

How do you know if you are expressing your emotions healthily?
If you experience emotional discomfort in reaction to a situation and this discomfort lingers, you are being shown you have an unresolved issue stored within you. Your level of functioning and harmony within yourself are good indicators of how healthy your relationship is with your emotions.

What can you do to release unprocessed emotions?
Fortunately there are some very good modalities out there to help people release unprocessed emotions. BodyTalk is one of these modalities which will help to get to the source of the emotional imbalance on a subconscious level and through tapping, release the emotional charge and bring balance back to the body/mind.

WHAT IS QI?

Qi is fundamental in the understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can be likened to Prana, life force or the intrinsic energy in our bodies.

It pervades all. In Chinese culture, everything in the universe is composed of & defined by it’s Qi. Mountains, forests and our human emotions all have Qi. Qi is the expansion and contraction of the cosmos.

It is the thread connecting all being. Qi allows any phenomenon to retain cohesion, grow and transform into other forms.

Qi includes all Yin and Yang. It also has a more narrow & specific sense. In it’s practical and clinical sense, Qi means the particular dynamic of engendering, movement, tension and activation. This is the more Yang aspect. Repose, self reflection & quietude are more Yin. Qi encompasses both Yin and Yang.

The Qi that is directly involved in a person’s life has three sources. The first of these is Original Qi (yuan-qi), also known as Prenatal Qi, which is transmitted by parents to their children at conception. This Qi is responsible for one’s inherited constitution. The second source is Grain Qi (gu-qi), which is derived from digestion. The third is Natural Air Qi (kong-qi), which is extracted from by the lungs from the air we breathe.
These three forms of Qi intermingle to produce the Qi that permeates the whole person. There is no place that does not have Qi & no place that it does not permeate.
